Who we are?

Soroti Fruits Limited was incorporated in 2011 and is a government of Uganda investment promotion initiative aimed at supporting value addition in fruit processing for the promotion of industrial growth, income diversification and increasing household incomes in the country and is a subsidiary of Uganda Development Corporation which was established by an ACT of Parliament.  Its shareholders are the Government of Uganda through Uganda Development Corporation (UDC) which owns 80% of its shares and Teso Tropical Fruits Cooperative Union (TEFCU) which owns 20%.

Soroti Fruits Limited adds value to local oranges and mangoes, predominantly purchased from the Eastern and Northern regions of Uganda, producing fruit concentrates and natural ready-to-drink juice, branded “TEJU”.
Soroti Fruits Limited shares pride in the success of peasant farmers and mainly works with Teso Tropical Fruit Farmers’ Cooperative Union (TEFCU) which supplies the factory’s majority fruit requirements.

TEJU Orange Juice and TEJU Mango Juice are 100% pure natural juices, squeezed from fresh fruits.

Soroti Fruits Limited is committed to improving the livelihoods and household income of Ugandan farmers through the purchase of homegrown Ugandan fruits.

The financial success of Soroti Fruit factory trickles down to Teso farmers who own 20% shares in the factory through the Teso Tropical Fruit Farmers’ Corporative Union (TEFCU), in the form of dividends.

Located in Soroti Industrial Park, Soroti Fruits Limited adds value to local oranges and mangoes, predominantly purchased from Eastern and Northern Uganda, to produce Teju Juice and Teju Fruit Concentrate.

With an installed capacity to crush 6 tons of orange fruits and 10 tons of mango fruits per hour, Soroti Fruits Limited is committed to maintaining a sustainable business model that will benefit the Teso sub-region and the nation at large.
