POSITION: ASSISTANT MARKETING MANAGER (01)
Reports to: Marketing Manager
Duty Station: Soroti
Job summary: The Assistant Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting the marketing department in the development and execution of marketing strategies and campaigns. This role focuses on brand development, digital marketing, market research, content creation, and analysing marketing performance to ensure the company’s objectives and goals are met. The Assistant Marketing Manager will collaborate with other departments to execute marketing initiatives and help drive growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns (both online and offline) that align with business objectives.
- Coordinate day-to-day activities related to campaign management, tracking, and reporting.
- Conduct market research to identify consumer trends, competitor activity, and opportunities for brand positioning and growth.
- Analyze data and present insights to guide marketing strategies.
- Support content creation for marketing materials such as brochures, newsletters, website content, social media posts, and advertisements.
- Ensure content aligns with the brand voice and strategy.
- Manage digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media, SEO/SEM, and online advertising.
- Assist in the management of the company’s website and ensure its content is current, relevant, and optimized.
- Support brand development initiatives and help position the brand effectively in the marketplace.
- Assist with creating and maintaining brand guidelines and consistency across all marketing channels.
- Assist in managing social media channels, including content scheduling, posting, and audience engagement.
- Track social media performance and provide recommendations to optimize engagement and reach.
- Help organize and promote events, product launches, and promotional campaigns.
- Coordinate logistics, including communication with vendors, and ensure the successful execution of events.
- Work closely with the sales team to align marketing campaigns with sales goals and product launches.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure consistency and support for marketing efforts.
- Track and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, utilizing various tools to measure success.
- Provide detailed analysis of KPIs and recommend optimizations to improve future marketing efforts.
- And any other duties that may be assigned by your supervisor from time to time.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration & Communications. Additional certifications in digital marketing (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot Inbound Marketing) or specialized marketing certifications are beneficial.
- 3 years of experience in marketing preferably in a similar industry, digital marketing campaigns, social media management, and content creation, email marketing, SEO, social media campaigns is preferred. Marketing Strategy and Planning, Communication and Collaboration, Analytical and Reporting, Project Management and Creative Think.
